Improved Core Strength.

After taking Adrea's pilates class regularly, it has been incredible to see how it has improved both my overall fitness as well as my climbing. I absolutely credit my improved core strength to this class. Adrea is a great instructor and always makes class fun and a positive experience. Though it is definitely a good workout, she is diligent about modifications for all levels and ensuring you are doing the exercises safely. Super Boosted My Yoga Practice.

If you’re looking to REALLY strengthen your core in new and different ways, you should try Adrea’s Pilates class. I started about a year ago and quickly got hooked! I have been practicing yoga for years so as I started Pilates, I thought it would help strengthen my core a little. Pilates SUPER BOOSTED my yoga practice. Now I can hold difficult poses longer, my handstands and other inversions are MORE SOLID THAN EVER and my arm balances are EXTRA STRONG and I can hold them long enough to incorporate difficult transitions. 

Adrea pays close attention to each student and helps to make every move accessible for every student. She makes sure we are doing the exercises accurately and safely. If you have questions, she is available to chat before and after class. It’s a real gift to have a fitness instructor who is welcoming, hilarious and passionate about health & fitness. She makes it easy to stick to my health goals. Adrea is a great motivator and her encouragement gets us through some really tough classes! I often make Pilates my REWARD for making it through a long work day.

Coming Back For More.

Adrea is the best Pilates instructor. She’s so passionate and friendly. Take her classes, seriously. No matter what level you are it’s an amazing workout every time.

I was a beginner to Pilates with no core strength and no idea how to do any of the sequences. Pilates has done wonders for my back pain, my core strength, and my control and stability. Adrea is very attentive to everyone taking her class. She is very conscious of everyone’s form and makes necessary adjustments to ensure everyone is safe.

Adrea’s classes are so amazing I would not take Pilates with anyone else. Her positivity motivates me to gets me through the class and it’s why I keep coming back for more.

Knee Surgery Recovery.

My climbing, and overall life, has improved dramatically ever since I started taking Adrea Reed’s Mat Pilates class at Sender One in Santa Ana. When I started Mat Pilates, I was a little hesitant because I didn’t know what it entailed, and I had previously associated Pilates with a lot of complicated equipment, which also intimidated me. Adrea’s classes may look ‘simple’ when you look from afar, but when you actually do the exercises, you’ll immediately feel how difficult the micro movements are.

As I approach my one year anniversary of taking Adrea’s classes regularly, I know that her class has drastically improved a lot of my life. Not only is my climbing significantly stronger, but I have also improved very quickly during my recovering and rehab from near-reconstructive knee surgery back in April 2017. My physical therapist noted how much stronger I’ve become, especially since I started taking Pilates. I am also much more aware and mindful of my body – an awareness and mindfulness that was missing, and likely contributed to the soccer accident that led to my knee surgery. Pilates has been quintessential to improving my recovery and performance.
I feel stronger and much more confident in my climbing, athletic endeavors, and every day life, and I absolutely recommend Adrea’s pilates classes to everyone.

A Better Athlete.

I began taking Adrea’s yoga and Pilates classes about a year ago and fell in love with them. As someone who gets bored with ellipticals, treadmills, weights, etc., Adrea’s classes are perfect for me. She is engaging, funny, and keeps you working hard in a way that makes an hour disappear way too quickly. Attending Adrea’s classes is a joy and she builds a familiar and welcoming atmosphere that makes the class environment totally warm and friendly. On a physical level, I have abs that I never thought I would have after my prime high school athlete days. The control and strength I have built-in Adrea’s Pilates classes have made me a better athlete and a much stronger and more confident climber. I cannot recommend Adrea’s classes enough.

Booty by Adrea.

Adrea is hands down my favorite Pilates teacher. Her classes are simultaneously accessible and challenging. I love the way my body feels after I take her classes, not just my core, but everything! I owe my recovery from knee surgery to Adrea’s attention to detail, her knowledge of anatomy, and her passion for making her students become their strongest. Adrea’s classes make me feel powerful enough to try new activities, confident enough to show off my “Booty by Adrea”, and motivated enough to keep coming back.

Pregnancy in Pilates.

Adrea is such knowledgeable instructor in both yoga and Pilates. She can teach multiple styles of yoga ranging from restorative to yin to vinyasa to strength and the classes are appropriate to their descriptions. She's always well prepared for her classes and has a variety of different sequences so you never get bored despite how many times you come back. 

She's well-versed in anatomy, understands her students, and will provide you with modifications as needed.  I speak from experience, having taken her pilates classes while pregnant. Lastly, Adrea is just fun!
